Fees & Rebates

Medicare

For clients who qualify for a Mental Health Care Plan (developed by a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician), up to twenty sessions per calendar year may be accessed with a significant Medicare rebate. The current Medicare funded rebate is $128.40, which significantly reduces any out-of-pocket expenses.

Reduced fees are available to concession card holders, however i do not currently provide bulk billing services.

If you wish to access this rebate, you will be required to bring your referral and Mental Health Care Plan with you to your first session. A review from your GP is required after the first six sessions, after which an additional four sessions may be granted.

Private Health

If you have private health insurance and are covered for psychology under the “extras” services, you may be eligible for a rebate.

As individual health funds vary, please contact your private health insurer for an estimate of how much you will be able to claim back on your consultation.

Please note, you are only able to claim a rebate from either Medicare or your Private Health fund, not both.

Workers Compensation & MVA

Some clients may choose to attend treatment as part of an insurance claim, such as worker’s compensation or a motor vehicle accident. As a registered provider for RiskCover and various other Workers Compensation insurance companies, your sessions will likely be fully covered with no out-of-pocket expenses.

Consultation Fees

Please contact me directly for further information.

Payment of the full fee is required on the day of consultation and I accept cash, credit or debit card (EFTPOS). If you are claiming a Medicare or private health-fund rebate you can claim this on the spot, as I also provide a HICAPS facility.

Referrals

You do not need a referral to see a Clinical Psychologist unless you wish to claim a rebate from Medicare.

Cancellation Policy

A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to provide enough time for the appointment to be filled by others who are on the waitlist. A late cancellation fee will be charged if an appointment is cancelled within this 24-hour period.

Non-attendance will also incur a fee as the time has been allocated for you. Exceptions may be made for genuine circumstances beyond your control only.
